i have always loved Phoebe Snow’s music. She was an extraordinary woman, who pretty much gave up her professional life as a musician to care for her daughter. This song has been running through my head all day, so I though that maybe if I posted it, I would stop singing it. But if I don’t, well, it’s a great song. I can totally relate to the lyrics. A beautiful song. Imagine what if we all had mercy on everyone.
I like the idea of asking for mercy on those with no feelings. It suggests forgiveness, by someone. It suggests that of all the pain they caused, they most need mercy.
It’s kind of a tear-jerker for me tonight, but a sincerely beautiful song.
It always is for me. I’ve known men with no feelings, and some part of me hoped they find mercy from some place.
