Tuesday After a 3-Day Weekend

I had my monthly book club meeting at my house tonight. We read A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. Everyone (the 4 of us, lol) loved the book. We talked about how it all comes down to two basic emotions, love and/or fear. What is not one, is the other. It’s her take on A Course in Miracles. But both books have been life changing for me. We all enjoyed it.

I made them dinner, a quinoa shrimp salad and a kale salad and cream cheese brownies. Lol. And some wine. It was all good. I kind of wish we could keep talking and forget we have work tomorrow.  We all really enjoy our discussions.

Yesterday I went to Kohl’s to get some new capris for work. I couldn’t find any that I liked. Mine are all kind of big on me. Anyway, I couldn’t find any I liked that fit right. But they had skorts, which I love. Shorts under skirts. Look like a mini-skirt but non one can see to the moon if you lean over, lol. I already own 4 or 5 of them, though I have never worn them to work. Anyway I bought 3 more, and wore a denim one to work today. OMG, you would think I was in a bikini, lol. One of the guys, who is like a brother to me, he’s been there a long time, said, “Hey Deb, what’s with the skin? I’ve never seen you in anything but pants!” And people were telling me I looked so “cute”. LOL. Really, it was just above the knee. Not racy at all…and a nice shirt with it. But it was cracking me up. I have always worn jeans or capris. But what the heck, these look like a skirt. One of the girls I work with said, “Oh man you have such nice legs, you look sexy!” Just cracked me up. 65 and sexy, lol.

It was kind of fun, lol, but it wasn’t inappropriate, at all. I just got sick of wearing capris that were so big I could fit half a leg again in them. Eh…I’m getting ready to leave anyway. It’s all good.

I was in a pretty good place all day. Happy with where I am, and where I’m going. As good as Tuesday after a 3 day weekend can be, I guess.

Love and light.
