Haiku NO. 124: Lavender (4 part story)

Lavender-Picture-8

 Summer Saturday
Finally I can exhale.
Work week is over.

So I sit outside
Exhaling, then inhaling
Lavender’s sweet scent.

Growing in my yard
The scent wafts through on the breeze.
Calming my senses.

Lemon balm joins it,
Sweet and peaceful calm abounds.
Heart beats joyfully.

    • Oh I don’t know where that one in the picture is. I do have lavender in my herb garden. Just one plant, it’s perennial. But it gets bigger every year and smells so sweet. Just love it. The herb garden is next to my deck. It’s tiny. I hope lavender grows in Florida. 😊
