I’ve posted this before. I’m posting it again. Now is as good a time as any. I just like to remind myself, occasionally, that this is what it’s all about. I am going out, don’t have time for a new original post tonight. I hope this will do. Elizabeth Gilbert, from Eat Pray Love. Brilliant.
The Physics of the Quest
The Physics of the Quest — a force in nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity. The rule of the Quest Physics goes something like this…
If you are brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting,
which can be anything from your house to bitter old resentments…
and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either eternally or internally.
And if you are truly willing,
to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue.
And if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher.
And if you are prepared, most of all,
to face and forgive some difficult realities about yourself.
Then the truth will not be withheld from you.
This will do nicely! Either I had not seen this, or forgot the words, though the basic concept has remained. Good to have it come back around so clearly by you sharing it, and living it!
Thanks! It’s good to read it every once in a while, isn’t it? She’s shines such a light.
Yep!
I have had that book on my to read list for so long and never get to buying it. But this here makes so much sense…I will have to either buy it or borrow it from a friend or libraby, for sure, to read all the rest.
Thank you fo sharing, it is very much true and helpful when one feels a bit lost with all the changes. I will also share, someone might come across and be helped by it.
Love and light (I stole your tag :p)

I’m glad you like it. I’ve read the book twice, as well as a couple of her other books. No matter what I’m going through, reading something by her can straighten my head out. Thank you for sharing it!
