The seeds were planted
The fertile ground awaits rain
Will the flowers grow?

But you did. And now
I give the gift to someone
who will care for it.

Chill breezes blowing
Sunrise to a cloudless sky
Tropic heat will follow
I made it to sunrise this morning. It was 53° and very windy, probably a wind chill of 40°. So, dressed in sandals and t-shirts with light jackets, we were waiting for the sun impatiently. This pic is not from this morning. I didn’t take any. It’s from last fall.

Treasure filled tideline
Sand dollars, shells unbroken.
What lies out of sight?
Sand dusted sea glass
sea stars hidden under salty grass
Gifts from the ocean.

Picture by myself. Taken December 2016

Watching the sunset
Over warm turquoise water
Flaming sky glowing
Light balmy breezes
Sway palm fronds, caress my cheek.
Florida evening.

The end of the day
Watching as shadows of night
Soften the edges
Soothing in silence
Old memories, and new dreams
Peace comes in the dark.
