Haiku No. 205: Found Myself

i-found-myself

I was low, way down
I had no one, not a soul.
Then I found myself.

‘Twas such a relief
Finding myself in the dark
I turned on the light.

The space was jam-packed
With people who gave a damn.
What more could I need?

  1. It is very inspiring. πŸ™‚ I wish I could find people who care. I will write more in depth about that, one day. I think we all need people who really care about us, and who show it. I am glad you have that! I have it to some extent but mainly through the blog and even though it is meaningful, it is not really the same thing as when people are more close geographically/physically.
Still very happy for my bloggie friends of course! πŸ™‚ ❀

      • I think there is also a big difference with the US from here in (Northern!) Europe. When I have visited the US, people seemed to be a lot more open to getting to know someone. Not here though. It takes years and years usually, before you can consider yourself “friends” with someone. It is strange, really. I have sometimes considered moving but it is hard with such a specialized education. I will try and think up some ways to break this current isolation though… I hope. I am so glad for you that your social circle became more active/grew, after the marriage was over. That is great! πŸ™‚ 🌸⚘
