I didn’t know
What I didn’t want.
I guess that means
I didn’t know what I wanted
Either.
I mean,
There was an eclair
Sitting on the plate.
I said,
“I only want half of a half. “
Then,
When I was done
With that half of a half,
(Or, the quarter eclair),
It was suggested
That the other half be cut in half.
And that I eat
Another half of a half.
I did.
So…I didn’t know
What I didn’t want.
Then.
I also didn’t know
What I did want
Then.
Now I know that
What I wanted was a whole half.
And what I didn’t want
was to leave the rest of it sitting on the plate.

Oh so clever. And then you ate the whole darn thing.
I did, I did! It was soooooo good!
Are you kidding? I would have eaten the whole lot of them and said “YUM!”
If you ate!! Or if they were flavored with Boost! Lol.
Oh! I’d eat an eclair! At least I’d eat as many as I could hold! Maybe two.
🍆 (couldn’t find an eclair so I substituted an egg plant.)
Lol. Close enough!!
Ha! I love the push and pull and indecisiveness of this. And, the ending is great. Very nice, Deb.
Thanks trE. It was a true story, lol. And fun to write.
You’re most welcome! I believe it.
