Dancing On A Summer’s Eve

Summer dance

Summer breezes blew in last night

From somewhere far across the water

Like an infinite stream of warmth

It slowed on it’s circumnavigation

To visit for awhile.

It whispered in our ears,

And caressed our bare arms

The palm fronds swayed gently

The banyan tree rustled

As the night sky filled with twinkling stars.

We danced a slow dance

To the melody of the breeze

We lifted our faces to the sparkling night sky

Our breath mingled sweetly

With the sweet heat of summer.
