Overnight, we woke to breathe

Summer’s soothing balm.

My heart glows starlight.

The bird flaps his wings

Ethereal flight.

Reading old stories,

Memories weigh my eyes down.

I’d rather not see.

The tears that I cried

The cool glow illuminates
