Extensions of dreams being dreamed
Energy connects

Fingers reaching out
Extensions of dreams being dreamed
Energy connects

Heart pressed between lives
Breath in between slow heartbeats
I am still alive.

Sunlight on my face
Warms my skin, soothing my soul.
He doesn’t matter.

A closed heart aching
Fears the onslaught threatening
Retreats in prayer

Words can be so cruel,
A knife to the heart, a wound.
But silence hurts too.
I guess it depends
On which side you want to live.
Darkness, or light. Choose.

Words on a blank page
Connecting, reaching, feeling
Ignored, but exist.
Fear holds words silent.
Isolation is preferred
Avoid connection.
Be alone, it’s safe.
Except for the mirrored soul
That only seeks love.
Love’s waiting outside.
You’re knocking from the inside.
Let the door open.

Saw your face faintly.
Tried to look closer, couldn’t.
Thick fog settles in.
What can end the hate?
More hate? More anger?
More power?
Taking power away?
When do we realize we are all one thing?
Cogs in the wheel,
All necessary for us to move forward together.
When do we acknowledge our fears,
And choose the path of love
To resolve them,
Instead of the path of hate and violence?
What can you do, today?
Can you extend a smile
Where you might have passed by without looking?
Can you offer bread to those who are hungry
Without asking who deserves to eat?
Can you love your fellow man
Without asking if he deserves it?
Can you give him a reason to live
instead of die?
Can we all take care of our own
small corners of the world,
And make them safe?
Imagine if there were 7.9 billion safe corners in the world?
Can we work toward that?

Warm breeze blows my hair,
A lover’s breath teasing me,
Gentle summer dreams.

Paint the deck, mow grass,
My house is clean, up and down.
Faking OCD.
